Professional Disclosure & Privacy Policy
Welcome to The Blue Cloak Project. Before we begin our work together, it is important that you understand the professional framework of our counseling relationship.
My Qualifications
I am Alstin Dsouza, a Psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Applied Psychology from the University of Mumbai (UDAP). My practice integrates evidence-based psychological interventions with a Catholic worldview, though I welcome clients of all faiths and backgrounds.
Our Counseling Relationship
Counseling is a collaborative process. While I provide the professional tools and a "Sacred Sanctuary" for healing, the outcome depends significantly on your active engagement.
Sessions: Standard sessions are 50–60 minutes.
Scope: I provide therapeutic support for anxiety, family wellness, and spiritual formation. If your needs fall outside my area of expertise (such as severe psychiatric emergencies), I will provide a referral to an appropriate medical professional.
Confidentiality & Privacy
Your privacy is sacred. Everything discussed in our sessions is strictly confidential.
There are only three legal exceptions where I am required to break confidentiality:
If there is a clear risk of harm to yourself or others.
If there is a legal requirement or a court order.
In cases involving the protection of minors or vulnerable adults.
Payments & Cancellations
Payments: All fees must be settled via the official Blue Cloak Project payment link or UPI before or at the time of the session.
Cancellations: I value your time and mine. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or "no-shows" may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Emergency Support
Please note that The Blue Cloak Project is not an emergency crisis center. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please contact the nearest hospital or a 24/7 crisis helpline immediately.
By booking a session or making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclosure.
